Many of us have very fond memories of “our” music, the games we played and the discipline that was dished out “back in the day”. Some of these memories are bittersweet; they make us laugh and cry.
Let’s go back and share some memories. What was your favorite song, artist or group, fashion statement or game you liked to play as a child?
I am very fond of the 80’s. Wow, so many things occurred in my life during that period – I graduated from high school, went to College, contemplated dying my hair navy blue, lost my Gangan and Woodie (my beloved great grandparents that raised me), got married, had children and grooved to all that great music the 80’s offered.
Did we not jam to the likes of the King of Pop Mr. Michael Jackson and the ever edgy Prince. Let’s not forget Whitney Houston who was, in my opinion, the best female vocalist around. We jammed with timeless bands such as Cameo, The Gap Band and Atlantic Star. Let’s not leave out the girl pop groups and artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Madonna and Blondie. I could go on and on. I love this stuff. Let’s hear it for Old Skool!!

Does anybody else remember REAK chocolate milk? The new milk is homogenized and has had all the fat boiled out of it. It just doesn't taste as good.
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't heard of it. But rule of thumb fat = flavor. No wonder it doesn't taste as good. Thanks for the post Lawrence. I hope you stop by again soon.
ReplyDeleteHey Tanmarie, I love this blog!! Do you remember Jheri curls? The pillow cases that were ruined with that style.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your caption... Old school is here to stay. Keep up the great work, I'll be following you daily.
